PKS Challenge 32

Hello crafty friends!
In my chaotic creativity this weekend, I got to create something for the PKS challenge this week. It's a sketch challenge:

SKETCH :: PKC32 :: AUGUST 2012
  • Design must be new
  • Link up by 8/29 - 11:59 pm EST
  • You don't need our stamps to play along, but only entries using Peachy Keen Stamps can earn Top Peach!
  • Sorry, any entry that does not meet the guidelines for this challenge will be automatically removed without notice.

Here is my take on the challenge.

I used, of course, PKS faceless fall fun for the sentiment.
MCT dies for the leaves and tag. I embossed the paper with dots and used brown ribbon from my stash.
Inked up the edges with Tim Holtz walnut ink pad
Enjoy!
Thanks for visiting

MCT 19th edition fun!

Hello crafty friends!!
I had planned on cleaning up my little craft corner this wknd so I can work in less clutter. Eh, that didnt happen. I crafted IN the clutter. Hey, I know exactly where everything is!
So I used my very favorite stamps from Peachy Keen and My Creative Time
dies from MCT
some inks from Tim Holtz and Stampin Up
Theresa Collins new Christmas paper
DCWV paper
a few little embellishments.
Enjoy!

PKS challenge #30

Hello crafty friends!!
My goodness there's a FABULOUS sneaky peak happening as we speak over at My Creative Time!! A MUST see!!
Head on over HERE
You'll LOVE what you see all week!

So I was inspired by all of the talent that I've seen this wknd and today! I created a card for PKS challenge #30 Just cards POPPED UP! Now I must tell you, I have not yet done a pop up card. This was my very first attempt. I think it came out pretty good. Hoping to get better.
Here are details for the challenge:

I used PKS 647 Faceless Fall Fun for the pumpkins, fence & leaves
MCT All Around halloween for the sentiment
colored with my Tim Holtz distress markers
inked the edges with TH distress ink pads
I also used my acrylic block to mix the colors from TH ink pads, spritz with a bit of water and stamped the leaves. They came out so cool! I dont know that you can see the complete detail of all the colors, but I liked it. THEN, my favorite part, I used Yankee Candle Autumn wreath hand sanitizer to add a scent to the card. I squeezed a little on my finger and dabbed it around the card! LOVE IT! I did see it on a you tube video a looong time ago, wish I could remember where so I can give her credit. Nonetheless, awesome idea!! Because it's alcohol based, it didnt leave little spots anywhere! completely dried!!

ok now here is my pop up part. I had to keep it simple as this IS my very first pop up.

This next card is just for fun! I LOVE LOVE the august release from PKS!! I made a tag from the little apple, colored Mrs. Peach with my copics and paper pieced her dress.
The accessories are colored and paper pieced. This was so fun to play with!!  Happy 1st day of school!

PKS connection August release Challenge

Hello Crafty friends! Talk about down to the wire! I just uploaded a few pics for the August release party challenges over at Peachy Keen Connection. My goodness you are all going to LOVE the new release! I cant wait to get my hands on it! I'm so excited each month to check my mailbox for some goodies. {{Big smile}}
So anyway, here are my entries for the Challenges. You can see details HERE
This first one is a sketch challenge. I found this picture of my mom and my 3rd son. LOVE this picture. I thought the sentiment fit it just right!!

This next entry is for a special 'fold' card. I made a tri- accordion fold card. I used Heidi Swapps Color Magic Banner Delights (I colored those with tim holtz inks.... YOU HAVE TO GET THESE, they are AWESOME!!), MCT Build  a Banner kit for the tag and PKS  Happy Hour set for the drinks and sentiment. I LOVE that set too. LOL I Love 'em all!!

Here is the card opening....
and here is opened. I used PKS July 2012 release for the sentiment. I inked up the edges for the front of the card and then inked the same patterned paper but all over. I Love how this turned out.... quite by accident I must add.
Thank you so much for visiting!! Please come again!
