Hello Crafty friends! So I decided tonight to try Shrinky Dinks with my very favorite PKS dies and stamps. They came out sooo adorable! I figured I'll use them for ornaments on my little tree and drink charms. I used the following for a Christmas countdown calendar I have had for years. My kids lost the little bear that's supposed to be moved so I made a winter snow friend. Fits perfectly!! I'm going to try and start my Christmas cards asap. Hope to post a few. Have a wonderful evening all!!  Hope you enjoy
gina

These little guys I put on name tags for workers. Little charms that add Christmas spirit. Just a little something. LOVE the way they turned out. I think I'll use the next batch for charms on ribbon for gift wrap.  Merry Christmas All!!

Thankful treats

Hello crafty friends! I have been a busy little crafter these past 2 days making things for my boys classes and teachers. Hope you enjoy! I had so much fun making them.

For these 2, I cut the tag from Wrap it Up at 3.5", The leaves were cut from I believe Create a Critter, various sizes. I inked up the leaves & tag with Tim Holtz distress inks. Wrapped a patterned paper around a plastic jar (I got from Michael's, they come in a pack of 3 for 9.99- of course used a 40% coupon). Filled with Hershey Nuggetts.

This is the top of the leaf jar

This turkey is cut from Create a Critter. He's so easy to layer!!  and of course I LOVE my PKS!  (critter faces ) I am still in search of a great white pen to color in those eyes. I have a Gelly Roll from PKS but the tip isnt too fine for the little edges.

These are the nuggetts I filled the jars with. I printed the sentiment on return address labels along with the turkey on clear labels! adhered to a strip of patterned paper cut at 1 x 3". Wrapped around the nugget and adhered with my ATG. My new favorite favors!  I did play around with other patterned paper for different occasions and heart paper looked so cute with the milk chocolate nuggets! Must be the silver paper

This tag is just a little acorn from Create a Critter. Ran it through my cuttlebug and inked it up a little. The tag is 3 x 3". Patterned paper to wrap the little box. It's laldybug push pins for my son's teacher. She LOVES ladybugs.

I hope you enjoyed my little creative frensy! Leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving is approaching!

Hello friends! I had a little time to get some Turkey Day cards made and a few other projects. I hope you enjoy! The recipes follow.

this bear was cut from Campin Critters. The card base is 6 x 6. I printed the sentiment on my computer and used one of my EK Success punches (I think it's called realtor)
This one I think is my favorite!! I cut the leaves at different sizes and then inked them with Tim Holtz distress ink pads.  (the green and red are from the limited edition Christmas set... LOVE it!) cut the banner from  From My kitchen cartridge, inked that with tea dye and used My Creative Time Stamps (fun in the sun and word accents)
I used a tin bucket from Targets dollar bin and decoupaged patterned paper to it. Some tool to tie the bow and I made a little rosette, used MCT scallop circle die and All Around Halloween stamps. Colored it with my Martha Stewart markers.
This last card is cut from I believe simply charmed cricut cartridge. I used some twine from my stash and a metal word frame. Orange brads to embellish a little.

Thank you for visiting! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!

FYI  My Creative Time November stamp release sneak peeks are happening all this week! please go here and follow along! there's so much inspiration and not to mention prizes!

My Creative Time's throwback Thursday Challenge

Hello friends!
Time again for My Creative Time's throwback thursday challenge (episode 270). Check out the details here.
I decided to do an 8 x 8 layout. I used Baby Steps CC for the babies and designers calendar for the playdate see-saw. I cut everything at 3". I also used My Creative Time stamps and of course PKS. Thought I'd do something a little different with the sun so I made a rosette. Cut a strip at 1" x 8.5". accordion folded it and wala. I used Emma's die cut stitched circle.

Happy Sunday!

Hello crafty friends! a quick post today. I saw this idea on a few of the blogs I visit and thought what a great idea! I didnt use my cricut for this project. I used Avery labels 5160, a cute little Turkey from my Hallmark program and printed on labels from my HP inkjet printer, Hershey nuggetts and wrapped the labels around them. Wala!!   I thought these are a great little treat for my boys classes, co-workers and even around the table on Thanksgiving at moms.  Hope you enjoy! I'm hoping to have time to work on some packaging. I'll post pics if I ever get those finished!
Have a great Thanksgiving all!

Happy almost Halloween!

Hello friends!!
I have started making some Halloween projects, when I have time!
I used mostly Emma's (My Creative Time) stamps and dies. I LOVE them!!
I was never a fan of the embossing powders, but I did find in my stash that I bought the embossing ink and powders so of course I had to go get the heat tool. I must say, I LOVE the look!! Please take a look and let me know what you think. I love the comments!! Hope I get to make more and share with all of you!
This one is cut at 3" from Happy Hauntings cricut cartridge
Emma's curly label die, feaux stitching
My Pink Stamper stamps embossed with black powder and heated,I also embossed the hair and shoes of Frank.
Martha Stewart spider web punch

This next one is my favorite!!
Emma's gift card die! I stickled the top trim to stand out.
Mrs. Frank is cut at 3" from Happy Hauntings as well. I used, of course, PKS for her adorable face. Her cheeks I used my 1 of 2 (lol) Copic markers in pink.
Emma's scallop and stitched circle die
Emma's All Around Halloween stamps. I embossed in white and colored the candycorn cupcake with martha Stewart markers. Added a little pop dot and there ya go. I LOVE this!!
I saw these done on a few of the ladies websites. These are post-it note holders. I made some for the boys teachers as a little halloween treat. Embellished with Emma's All Around Halloween stamps, Emma's dies and My Pink Stamper stamp for Happy Halloween.
The next 2 are the post-it holders open. They are the 3x3 notes. I cute chip board at 4" squares. covered them in Halloween paper and adhered it on.

I hope you enjoyed!! come back soon!

My baby's 4th birthday

Good Morning all! Today is my youngest son's 4th birthday! Can't believe how fast time flies. We had his bday party this past weekend at my parents house in the mountains. Little did we know Hurricane Irene would leave us stranded there for a few days. Roads were closed due to MAJOR flooding and couldn't get off the mountain. My thoughts and prayers go to those who lost their homes, their businesses, their belongings. It was a site to see, never thought I'd ever experience that first hand. God bless.
On a lighter note, these are the decorations and favors I made for his party. We decided on a Toy Story theme. I was so impressed with the way these came out.
I did however make the banner a little too big. But it was worth it!!
These favors were so simple. I got the bags from Michaels. They were 12/$3. I cut out the characters from the Toy Story cartridge in the shadow feature and adhered them. I also cut out the words "hand over the toys" but just used the "toys". The contents I also got at Michaels in the $1 bin but they were all 60% off!! Toy Story themed pencils, little notepads and sticker books for 19 cents!! plastic cups with Toy Story for 29 cents! Cant beat that. I've learned a little bargain shopping from Miss Michelle from Scrappin with my Bug! Thanks Michelle!!
My 9 yr old had told me a long time ago he wanted to make the cake. He had a vision of the 'claw'. I think he did a great job and it was delicious! Hmm, imagine if I had a Cricut Cake!! lol He used his Toy Story legos for the decs and I cut out 2 aliens at 3" for effect.

PKS Challenge #57

Hello friends! I finally created a submission for the PKS challenge this week. This one was with a twist of 'color'. You had to follow a sketch and color combo.
This is what I came up with. Wasnt too sure about the colors with the idea I had in mind, but I actually like how it turned out! Recipe:
MCT (my Creative Time) stamps for the sentiment (the newest release! I had to have them and they are fabulous!) I also used the die and stamp for the tag (sold separately). The pumpkins are from Happy Hauntings, embossed the green with a 5x7 cuttlebug folder dots (i think) and the card shape is from TBBM cartridge.
I embellished with liquid pearls in blue.... LOVE those!! and of course, PKS for my little faces! I used glossy accents to bring some shine. Hope you have a great night!! see you soon!

Hello friends!

Hello friends! I finally was able the past few days to get a little crafty. Time seems to get away from me so quickly. With 4 boys all with activities and working full time, it's crazy! So anyway... I wanted to enter some of these in challenges but havent found one that fits. I'll keep looking. Onto my recipes!
1st: my 5 yr olds little friend was having a pirate themed party for her 5th birthday. I remember seeing something similar on Emma's (My Creative Time with Emma) blog. I tweeked it a little to make it for a little girl. The cut is from Life's a Party cricut cartridge and I used one of Emma's stamps from her set So Many Candles. I love how it turned out!
Next is a card I made for my nephew's 1st communion. I saw this little boy on Chore chart and immediately thought of this project, so I had to run out and get it! I impressed myself with how this one turned out. The sentiment was printed off my computer and I used the i-rock for the bling, PeachyKeen stamps for the face. I think it's from wide eyed kids.
This next one I thought came out adorable. I saw something like this in my web browsing and can't remember which blogspot I saw it. Thank you whomever if your reading this. I changed it up a little to mkae it my own but thanks for the inspiration! The cartridge I used was Boys will be boys. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper, one of the older sets.
Finally, this last one if for my stepson who just graduated High School last weekend. My good ness how time does fly!! I used PKS for the face, I think graphically speaking for the cap, Create a Critter for the owl. The sentiment inside is from My Creative Time's Turn that frown upside down set

Thank you all for visiting! I hope to have some Father's Day projects to share!!

I used Emma's stamps from My Creative Time with Emma for the sentiment. The cartridges I used were Storybook for the shape and layers and I believe the daisy is from Just Because Cards. Of course I used Peachy Keen stamps for the face on my flower. I LOVE Peachy!! alittle twine from my stash (not sure where its from) Hope you enjoy!

I hope to get some crafting in Sunday! Lazy day... although if it's as nice as they say, I'll be doing anything outside!!

happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday crafting everyone! It has been a relaxing day. I had a test to take yesterday which didnt leave much time for crafting lately. I took my exam, passed! so now I can craft a little before my next class begins. Ok so onto important things.... I went shopping at my local Walmart this past week and saw Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge marked at $15.97! It was way back in the clearance section of the craft dept. I thought it was an error as the other lites were marked $25 or $39. Anyway, brought it to the register and it rang up $25, but because the sticker was clearly there, they gave it to me for $15.97. LOVE the cartridge! those little girls and the shapes are awesome!
So with my new Cartridge, lol, I made this birthday card for my niece. I think I am getting better at the rosy cheeks :o). I cut her at 3.25" used DCWV paper and $1 bin ribbon. The sentiment is from The Paper Company called Cupcakes. Added some bling with my i-rock and some stickles. The face is PKS, again I used the critter faces for the eyes, and everyday face parts for the nose and smile. FYI- I did order the new releases from PKS Wide eyed kids and Wide eyed and bushy tailed. Can't wait til they arrive!!
This next card I had in mind for PKS 'xoxo' challenge but hadn't had it done yet. Not sure if I can enter more than one but I wanted to post this anyway. I used multiple carts for this one. I should write them down as I use them. The sentiment is computer generated. Some feaux stitching in red and white around and a few buttons.

This next card is for my nephew who turns 8 next month. Love how this came out! I used the guitar from Indie art, the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper stamps, the tag is a punch from EK success, the music notes are from Elmo's party! LOVE that cartridge too.

this is the inside of the card. Again, a sentiment from MPS
Check back soon. Leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you!
See you next time!

PKS Let's Face it Friday Challenge

Hello out there! I think this is my first LFIF challenge. I was so excited to participate. The challenge is you have to incorporate " xoxo" in the project somewhere. I had so many ideas, I think I'll post the other project tomorrow. I apologize for the quality of the pictures, the lighting wasnt great where I took them. Sooo, the recipe for this wall hanging is Wild Card Cartridge for the 'xoxo' cut at about 2" real dial size ( if that feature was off, i think it came to almost 22" or something like that since the sentiment is meant to fit on one of the wild card cards) the cute little girl is from Cricut Lite Sugar and Spice cut at 3.25" , Face is of course PKS... I did get creative with this face though. I used Critter faces for the eyes, the mouth and nose are from Everyday character face parts. I'm still working on how to get the rosy cheeks, didnt come out great so I chose not to do it on this little lady. The hearts are from Michael's 0.39 painted with pink acrylic paints. stuck the xoxo on with decopauge. waa laa!
Happy Crafting everyone!
Thanks for visiting.
